.

We have a great youth group and Easter Sunday evening is an opportunity for the young people to give us their take on the Easter story. There will be music, drama and perhaps some preaching debuts. The service is for everyone to enjoy.

Easter Sunday morning – All-age celebration

pastor gary @ 2:34 pm

On Easter Sunday morning Jesus rose from the dead. As dawn broke over Jerusalem some of the disciples went to the tomb and found it empty. The battle was won, the victory assured. For Christians this is the pivotal moment, the point in history about which everything else turns. On Easter Sunday morning we will be using a number of different methods to help us understand this truth. It will be a different kind of service, but hopefully it will be a good different.

Good Friday – 7-8pm

pastor gary @ 2:27 pm

Good Friday is the day in the year when our thoughts are most focussed on the crucifixion of Jesus. It was on this day that he died and was buried. While we live in the expectation of Easter Sunday we take time on Good Friday to consider his sacrifice for us, to think about the pain, the thank him for what he was willing to suffer to pay for our sins. The worship will be partly worship, partly bible, partly communion and partly meditation.

Freedom is coming

January 16, 2012
pastor gary @ 1:54 pm

Freedom in Christ comes to the church starting in February. Freedom in Christ is a 13 week bible based course which helps Christians understand who they are and how their relationship with God works. It debunks a lot of nonsense and gives practical advice on how to live a Christian life free from guilt and condemnation. Freedom in Christ is taking the place of our regular Sunday evening services from Feb 5th until we have finished it some time after Easter. Everyone is welcome. We meet at 6.30pm. To make the most of the course you will need a Participant’s Guide which is available at a cost of £4 from the church.

Welcome to the Stirchley Community Church. The church is made up of all sorts of people from all different of walks of life. We are a church that does not expect people to be fully sorted out before they turn up for the first time. We find that when people feel they belong they find the space to change. The thing that links us all is a desire to find out more about God, and to experience Him more in our lives.

The church works like a big multi-generational family, with all the benefits and drawbacks that brings. The young learn from the old, the old are kept active by the young, and God seems to be blessing what is going on.

If you are looking for a church family have a look around the website, come along on a Sunday and see what you think.

Feel free to come along one sunday and see what we are all about here at Stirchley Community Church, If you would like to try us out we hold two services each Sunday, one at 10:30 - 12:00 and an evening service from 18:30 - 20:00. After each service we have coffee and a time to chat and meet. If you need help finding us either visit our find us page or just type your postcode below and hit Go to get Google directions. We hope to see you soon.
